SLAS Announces European 2020 Conference and Exhibition in Vienna, Austria, 2-5 June
After the success of SLAS Europe 2019 in Barcelona, Spain, SLAS Europe are pleased to announce the return of the conference and exhibition in Vienna, Austria on 2-5 June 2020.
The conference attracted 1000 attendees, as well as 90-100 innovation providers in the exhibition in Barcelona (2019) and Brussels (2018) including international and national scientific researchers and students and entrepreneurs. The SLAS conference serves as a supportive venue for start-up and emerging companies who can apply for a no-cost exhibition kiosk, travel and accommodations package through the SLAS Innovation AveNEW program.
SLAS Europe 2020 Conference and Exhibition provides a unique combination of scientific education, access to innovative laboratory technologies and countless opportunities for peer networking and career development through itspodium programme. In addition, keynote speakers include Giulio Superti-Furga, Ph.D., CEO and Scientific Director of CeMM and professor of Medical Systems Biology at the Medical University of Vienna, and Johannes Grillari, Ph.D., founder of the Christian Doppler Laboratory on Biotechnology of Skin Ageing at the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU).
“SLAS Europe events allow the life sciences community to build connections within the European research and vendor community, as well as build important partnerships globally. The scientific sessions provide a rich and interactive environment, and the thought-provoking keynote speakers add new and interesting perspectives exploring unique spaces in the life sciences industry, says SLAS CEO Vicki Loise. “We’re excited to be in Vienna this year, and to collaborate with the dynamic life sciences community there.”
SLAS Europe 2020 has numerous opportunities for attendees to share research and gain valuable feedback. Poster presentations allow for one-on-one collaboration and discussion of current scientific topics. New this year is the Student Poster Competition designed to highlight innovative research by students, graduate students, post-doctoral associates and junior faculty.
Students, graduate students, post-doctoral associates and junior faculty can submit a poster for the Tony B. Academic Travel Award by Monday 2 March. Awardees will receive transportation costs, full conference registration, one-day short course costs, accommodations and the opportunity to present their research through a poster presentation.
For exhibitors, the New Product Award gives companies the opportunity to increase brand and product awareness to a large global audience.
